Cameroonian actress Emy Dany Bassong was chosen by the festival “the week of cinema” to be its muse. An announcement made on January 04 when the festival unveiled its official poster.

The festival “La Semaine Du Cinéma” has chosen to do things big for its first edition. After several weeks of teasing with la minute de la semaine du cinéma, a program during which a focus is made on a selected film, the festival revealed on January 04, 2021 the official poster of its festival. A poster close to that of a dramatic film which clearly reflects the intention of the organizers to make their event a real moment of cinema.

And on the poster of the festival which will be held from March 30 to April 04, 2021 in Yaoundé, we notice the Cameroonian actress Emy Dany Bassong chosen by the festival team to be the muse. a choice that is not trivial. In the official press release the organizing team of the festival reveals: “She represents the new face of Cameroonian cinema through her dynamism, her energy and above all her talent. Emy Dany Bassong alias Ngo Bikaï is an actress and producer out of the ordinary. As proof. , many are productions and directors who tear it up. For the first edition of LA SEMAINE DU CINÉMA which will take place in Cameroon from March 30 to April 4, 2021, we have chosen her as torchbearer “

It is the webseries Les Tcha-Kaï which reveals Emy Dany to the public in 2018. The series will meet with good success with the public and she will henceforth be nicknamed 𝑁𝑔𝑜 𝐵𝑖𝑘𝑎𝑖, the name of the character she plays in the series. She will follow up with several other projects such as 𝟮 𝗔𝘃𝗿𝗶𝗹 (2019) by Noëlle Kenmoe, the 𝗟𝗲 𝗚𝗲́𝗻𝗲́𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮 series. And more recently Buried by Françoise Ellong in which she plays one of the main roles and the Madame Monsieur series, of which my season 2 is currently filming and where she plays the role of the very bubbling Sophie Ewane.
