On October 21, 2022 the film Kankan was released in all cinemas of Cameroon and Francophone Africa. A biographical film directed by Joseph AKAMA about the life of the famous Cameroonian comedian Jean Miché Kankan. A year later, Ayila takes you behind the scenes of this ambitious and historic film.

In November 2021, the shooting of the film KANKAN begins, an ambitious film that recounts part of the life of Jean Miché Kankan, a key icon of humor in Cameroon and Francophone Africa. The film is written and directed by Joseph AKAMA, who signs with this project his first feature film. KANKAN is not only a biopic, it is also a period film, because the story takes us in the years 1996-1997, during which Jean Miché Kankan lives the last chapters of his existence. To play this role, the actor Landry NGUETSA is chosen after many attempts. He plays the double role Jean Miché Kankan/ Dieudonné Afana, because behind the character Jean Miché Kankan hides the man Dieudonné Afana.

The shooting of KANKAN produced by Claye EDOU will take place over 4 weeks in the cities of Yaoundé, Mbankomo and Nkongsamnba. Your magazine takes you on a behind-the-scenes tour of the film, which earned its lead performer the LFC AWards 2022 Best Actor in a Leading Role and Sotigui Best Actor in Central Africa 2022.
