Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the 10th edition of the African Diaspora International Film Festival will be held virtually from September 4 to 6, 2020.
The FIFDA, like several film festivals around the world, will hold its 10th edition virtually. An act of resistance and resilience in the face of the Covid 19 pandemic which has paralyzed many activities. 20 films will be screened as part of this event devoted to films produced by the African diaspora. Films which according to the organizers “help to make known the old and current stories of Africa and its diaspora, often ignored and neglected”.
At the opening of the festival, spectators will be able to discover the Moroccan-Canadian film Myopia directed by Sanaa Akroud and at the end of the festival the Cameroonian film Buried directed by Françoise Ellong.
At the time of Black Live Matter, the festival has decided to shine a light on black people in history by offering films that explore the lives of black people in the United States and Latin America.
