The Pan-African festival of the Douala Series for short Douala Series will hold its first edition from November 15 to 18 in the Cameroonian economic capital. The official selection was unveiled at a press conference at the Yaoundé National Museum on October 21.
On November 1, 2022, the public and the press were informed of the creation of the pan-African festival of the Douala series abbreviated Douala series. A festival based in the Cameroonian economic capital and which intends, according to the organizers, “promote African culture through television series by organizing a major festival event”. Founded by the producers: Ebenezer Képombia, Jean Roke Patoudem, Brenda Shey Elung and businessmen Seidou Njankouo and Grégoire Jeuga Piwele; the festival aims to be a place of opportunities for authors, African actors and all actors operating in the universe of the series on the continent.
A few days ago, on the sidelines of the Festival Écrans Noirs, the organizing committee of Douala Série, led by its general delegate Ebénezer Képombia, unveiled the official selection of the first edition to be held from 15 to 18 November 2023. All selected films will be divided into three categories: Official Series Competition, Official Web Series Competition, Out of Competition Panorama.
For this first edition the master of ceremonies, the charismatic Cameroonian actress Stéphanie Tum who recently came to be crowned best Cameroonian actress at the Festival Écrans Noirs 2023. The glamour will be there!
