The trailer of Little Sam Big Sam, the new film by Cameroonian director Billy Bob NWdive Lifongo was unveiled last evening on Youtube. The film, which will certainly be released in the coming weeks, takes us into the medical world against the backdrop of a socio-security crisis.
Little Sam Big Sam was to be officially released in Cameroon in May 2020. But due to the Covid19 pandemic, the release had to be postponed. The film team therefore waited until January to unveil the official trailer of the film. A trailer that hints that it will be a drama that will take us into the medical world. All this against the backdrop of a security crisis in the country where the plot takes place. In an interview given to our colleagues of le film camerounais last March, director Billy Bob Lifongo, who directed Little Cindy (2018), already revealed part of the film’s plot: “A doctor named Sam is fighting to save lives in a context of growing socio-political tension in the country, and an internet blackout is making the already bad situation in this mountainous state worse“. The director chose this subject because he believes it is a topical issue in Cameroon. The film is therefore intended to be a militant film to raise collective awareness but also to take action to remedy such situations.
The cast of this film includes some well-known faces such as Nchifor Valery, who was seen a few weeks ago in the When It Ends by Achille Brice; Epule jeffrey (Breach of trust, Pink Poison, Decoded,…). But also newcomers such as Mbeaoh Chris Oben, who plays the little boy in the film who is to undergo open-heart surgery.
We are therefore awaiting with great interest the release dates of this film.
