As part of the Africa 2020 Season, The Night of the African Series arrives in Paris on September 24, 2021. A special edition which will have the Ivorian actress Emma Lohoues as Godmother.
Since its first edition in 2013 at Fespaco, La Nuit de la Série Africaine (The Night of African Series) has established itself as a major event organized on the sidelines of major film festivals in Africa. Organized by the Cameroonian Producer Jean Roke Patoudem and his production company Patou Films International, La Nuit de la Série Africaine offers festivals to the public each time where it leaves its luggage, a varied selection of African series, unseen or not.
As part of the Africa Saison Africa 2020, The Night of African Series will be held in Paris on September 24, 2021 at Cinema L’ARLEQUIN. An opportunity according to the organizers: “to show the diversity of points of view and narratives present on the continent” but also “to make generations dialogue around African culture, this thanks to the most popular formats of audiovisual works of the continent” In addition, behind this initiative, it is also a question of highlighting African actors and showing the French public, Afro-descendant and from the Diaspora “a sample of what is done in Africa in the audiovisual sector“.
This new edition will have as Godmother the Ivorian actress and influencer Emma Lohoues who had already been the Godmother of the first edition in 2013 in Ouagadougou on the sidelines of Fespaco. A 34-year-old Ivorian actress, she has to her credit several roles in series and feature films that have helped build her notoriety in Africa.
Like all previous editions, La Nuit de la Série Africaine starts at 6 p.m. and ends at midnight. Access to the event is free. The Night of the African Series benefits from the support of Canal+, A+, Nollywood TV, Canal Olympia.
