The Ecrans Noirs organizing committee unveiled on Monday, November 01 the official selection for its 25th edition, which will be held from November 17 to 27 in Yaoundé.
It was during a press conference broadcast online that the organizing committee of the Ecrans Noirs Festival unveiled, Monday, November 1, the official selection for its 25th edition. An anniversary edition for this festival which has brought together every year, since 1997, a great selection of African filmmakers and the diaspora, to show their works to the Cameroonian public. The festival, founded by filmmaker Bassek Ba Kobhio, and directed by journalist Lazare Etoundi, has established itself over the years as an important moment in the Cameroonian and African film calendar.
A total of 63 films and series divided into 07 categories have been sectioned for this edition. It should be noted that as part of this anniversary edition, the festival organized a film screening caravan in several cities of Cameroon. Also within the framework of its 25 years, the festival orchestrated the broadcast on CRTV (Cameroonian national television) of 25 films which have marked its history.
