News: Casting open for the series “La dernière voix”, new production by Alex Ogou
ShareTweetShareShare

After the success of the series “Invisibles” and “Cacao”, Ivorian director Alex Ogou is back with a new series project that will focus on the musical universe. A few weeks ago, a pan-African casting session was launched to discover and showcase new talent for this project.

Alex Ogou

Ivorian director Alex Ogou is already working on his new series: La dernière voix. A musical series that aims to showcase the most beautiful voices in Africa and to seek out new talent. This project is a joint initiative of the company Plan A, founded in December 2020 by Alex Ogou, in association with Universal Universal Music Africa, A+ and Trace. For this new project, the director of the successful series Invisibles (2018) and Cacao (2020) broadcast on Canal+, will manage the project more as a producer than as a director, as the direction of the series will be mainly entrusted to video director Roland Gogo.

For the purposes of the series, Plan A and its partners have launched a casting call open to all film and music enthusiasts, since to stand out in this casting call you will need skills in music, dance, choreography, etc. To participate in this casting, each candidat must go to Casting: La Dernière Voix to apply. Registration is open until 11 May 2021.

La Dernière Voix will feature 5 young talents (singers and musicians) who have been recruited by a record company and placed in residence in a secret location called the Laboratory. This place is supervised by an enigmatic butler called Wilson. He will be both their mentor and their judge. During their residency, spread over the 52 episodes of the series, they will work to perfect their craft in order to become the Last Voice.

And to spice up the series, from time to time reality will meet fiction through the presence of virtual co-captains played by African music stars and outings to public places where these talents will have to perform in front of the population. And to make the series even more original, at the end of the 52 episodes, whoever is chosen by Wilson as The Last Voice will sign a “real” artist contract with Universal Music Africa.

So don’t hesitate to apply and share because you can be The Last Voice!
