For its 24th edition, the Ecrans Noirs festival will be held from October 31 to November 07, 2020 in Yaoundé.
The Ecrans Noirs film festival is usually held every year during the period of July in Yaoundé, Cameroon. But this year due to the global pandemic of Covid 19, the festival had to postpone its dates for the end of 2020. An act of resistance with regard to the many festivals which could not hold their edition this year or which had to hold their edition virtually.
The festival will therefore take place from October 31 to November 07, 2020. The announcement was made on July 02, 2020 by the festival’s general delegate, Bassek Ba Kobhio, during a special communication on their Facebook page.
On the festival program this year : Symposium, Film market, the 10-day competition for 1 film, Central African script competition, Cameroon script competition, several features films, shorts films and documentaries competitions. And as an innovation a web series competition.
2 days later the festival unveiled its official poster. A visual created and produced by Bilkiss Binta Mohamed, a young model, photographer, painter and graphic designer from Cameroon. A poster which symbolize, according to the organization team, the riches of millennial Africa, modernity and the future.
