Based in Côte d’Ivoire, the Page Blanche agency has just been created by three film professionals in Africa with the clear intention of bringing a plus in the storytelling and writing of films made on the continent.
Originality and authenticity is what sums up the vision of the Page Blanche agency, founded in 2023 and based in Abidjan. The agency whose most famous face is that of the screenwriter and director Françoise Ellong-Gomez (W.A.K.A.-2014; Ashia-2017; Enterrés–2020) was founded by three professionals and passionate about cinema and especially scriptwriting. The Malian, Adiaratou Sangaré, the Ivorian Jean De Dieu Konan, and the Cameroonian-Beninese Françoise Ellong-Gomez. Among the agency’s missions, writing, storyboarding and training. To fulfil these missions, the agency draws on the experience and cultural diversity of its founders.
For Françoise Ellong-Gomez: “Stories that could make our films win big prizes in big events are still reduced, because storytelling is not yet an exceptional force. So the idea of our agency is to bring originality and authenticity… When we make a film, we want to positively impact an environment, and we want the projects we work on to impact the target audience and especially that each project we have strong films“.
Page Blanche is an initiative that will surely find a favourable echo in the burgeoning African film environment.
