“Premier Clap Pro” supports young Beninese authors of short films
ShareTweetShareShare

The Premier Clap Pro programme is looking for young authors to help them make their first professional short film.

The call for projects was launched on 22 February. The “1st Clap Pro” programme, run by the company New Direction Films, is looking for Beninese writer-directors to help them make their first professional short film. Each candidate for this programme must have a minimum of training in a film training centre or institute, one year’s experience in the field, be between 18 and 35 years of age and have a short film project lasting a maximum of 15 minutes.

The selected projects will go through a rewriting workshop before the production phase, which will be carried out by a team of pan-African professionals. The objective of the programme is to detect and highlight authors and directors with ambitious and original projects that tell the story of Africa and the world in a universal language.
The application file must contain: an artistic CV, a cover letter, a synopsis, a note of intent and a version of the script.
All these documents must be sent to prod@newdirectionfilm.com by 4 April 2021 at the latest.
More details on the programme here: Premier Clap Pro.
