The Realness Institute and Netflix are teaming up once again to offer a development internship for African film professionals who wish to improve their skills as a writing consultant.
The South African Realness Institute and the American streaming giant Netflix continue their collaboration on the continent. Some time ago the two organizations launched the Episodic Lab for 6 screenwriters from Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. This time, the possibility is given to professionals of African cinema and the diaspora to follow a development internship (Development Executive Traineeship). The program will involve film professionals who wish to become writing consultants by giving them insight into the screenplay development process, working with writers and directors in the development of their scripts.
The 4 candidates selected for the DET will work in close collaboration with those of the Episodic Lab for 3 months. They will receive a monthly scholarship of $ 2,000 to cover their daily expenses. Applications must be submitted before February 28, 2021.

- Max. 2 professional recommendations
- List of projects that you have worked on as a development consultant (if applicable)
