On September 05, “Le futur est à nous”, the new original creation by Canal+ is landing on all screens in French-speaking Africa.
After the success of Mami Wata and Eki, Canal+ offers a new original creation to its viewers. This time it is a daily show of 60 episodes that the audience of Francophone Africa will be able to discover on the channel from September 05, 2022. A new approach for the French channel, which is increasingly involved in the creation of original content in Africa. Unlike the previous series with very American formats, Le futur est à nous borrows, in terms of format to the Novelas, about sixty episodes of about 26 minutes for each episode. And to pilot this series, the responsibility was given to the Gabonese Samantha Biffot to whom we owe the series Mami Wata. She holds the cap of designer, screenwriter and director.
After 9 months of shooting in Abidjan with 6 directors (Samantha Biffot, Franck Vlehi, Olivier Koné, Boris Oué, Andy Melo, Françoise Ellong) the series, labeled by its producers ”1st daily soap opera of Francophone Africa” brought together no less than 150 technicians from pre-production to post-production. Among the headliners of this series that will be aired on Canal+Pop, the Senegalese actress Halima Gadji revealed thanks to the series Maitresse d’un homme marié, the Ivorian Mahoula Kané (Les trois lascars, Invisibles, Cacao), the Gabonese Serge Abessolo (Eki, Cacao, Les couilles de l’éléphant).
According to Fabrice Faux, director of Canal+International channels and content: “The launch of the first daily soap in Africa, THE FUTURE IS OURS, is a great pride for CANAL+! Bringing together so many screenwriters, directors, actors and technicians who are the “future” of the African audiovisual landscape reinforces our vision of a creative Africa, innovative and called to play a leading role in the world audiovisual industry.I would like to warmly thank all the talents gathered by this series for the magnificent work accomplished and for all they will make live for our viewers! Because I’m sure we’re not done talking about the FUTURE IS OURS! ” See you on September 5!
